A member of section Pseudojummellea. This species is native to the Comoro Islands of the Indian Ocean. Plants are upright when small but when mature will tend to be pendant. They are easily staked upright for a cleaner habit. Plants will beging to flower when 4” – 5” tall but will mature at 18” – 20”. When plants attain a height of 8” – 10”, under good conditions it will begin to branch from the base. Inflorescences are 1” – 2” long and carry 2-5 flowers each. Individual flowers are 1¾” – 2¼” across and have a 4½” – 5½” spur. The flowers are pure white. The flowers are strongly and sweetly fragrant at night.
